ABOUT ME

TRAVELLER

Enjoys traveling to different places and meeting new people. During my time in university, I applied to an international study abroad program for Germany and China to learn more about German & Cross-cultural Communications and Autonomous Drones respectively.

Immersed myself in new environments and culture, gaining experience in solo travel and becoming more comfortable in being outside my comfort zone.

PROJECT MAKER

Created numerous projects for school and for fun. From small scale alarm clocks, to larger sized hovercrafts. Improved decision making skills, attention to detail, and prioritization.

Projects created were part of either a solo personal project or group project, allowing me to work capably and effectively either as an individual or within a team.

A more detailed list of completed major projects and a brief description is included in the Projects section below.

VOLUNTEER

Volunteered in different organizations, such as the Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth, University of Calgary Robotics Association, AIESEC Canada, and University of Calgary Engineering Student Society.

Involved in diverse and multicultural teams, with leadership roles. Volunteering helped me make new friends and improve my social & communication skills.

Included in the Experience section below are the organizations and details of my role.

Hobbies

Sports

I love playing video games, and sports is the real-life, physically active equivalent. In order to stay active, I play different types of sports, including basketball and badminton, which are the sports that I grew up with. After immigrating to Canada in 2014, I was introduced to different sports that I enjoyed just as much, such as Ultimate Frisbee and Volleyball.

Recently, my friend has introduced me to shooting sports, such as paintball, airsoft, and lasertag. As a someone who calls himself a gamer, it was a dream come true to find a sport that combines the fun of gaming, with the benefits of exercise.

Shooting

During my time in university, I joined the University of Calgary Firearms Association. I've always wanted to fire a gun, and it was exciting to be part of a shooting range and trap shoot event organized by the school club. Although I was nervous the first, it definitely helped having a trained member that taught me how to handle firearms safely and with discipline, from small handguns to larger rifles and shotguns.

Video Games

Video games have been a big part of my life. I grew up with Super Mario World on the SNES, and have played it multiple times, both with and without a memory card to save my progress. Now, thanks to the internet, I am able to engage in social activities with my friends and meeting new people online without any physical contact. Playing games of different genres, such as FPS, platformers, and party games.
